On the fringe of her electronic textural songs, Olivia Louvel has developed an approach even more minimal:
On Haiku by poet Bashō (1644-1694), she composed a musical soundtrack, voice and silence, far from these pressing times.

While Olivia Louvel 's emphasis lies not only in sound but also art, she experimented with digital video during the course of summer 2007 until the images formed a visual object. There is no wish for perfection to reach with the images, as they are being captured in a simple way and furthermore edited in a non-narrative way but there is a wish to create a space for one's own narrative, one’s own thoughts and let the viewer absorb itself in the inward. The aesthetic is simple, humble, closely inspired by the Japanese aesthetic Wabi-Sabi. The duration of the observation of nature is being streched deliberately to lead to a reflective mood. You can abstract yourself from it while doing something else in your room but it continuously lines the time within the rhythm of the music.
